Degree in Biology from the University of León (ULE) and PhD in Biology.
She finished her PhD Thesis in 2015 at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the ULE entitled «Mechanism of action of indenoisoquinoline derivatives against DNA Topoisomerase IB of Leishmania as a therapeutic target». Subsequently, he did a postdoc in a joint project between the Center for Molecular Biology Severo Ochoa (CBMSO), the ULE and the pharmaceutical company GSK entitled «Small-molecule screening against visceral leishmaniasis using ex-vivo splenic explant cultures» testing a large battery of compounds and where high throughput screening (HTS) platforms were developed in vitro and ex vivo, as well as in vivo with bioimaging techniques. Once he finished his postdoc, he was as PhD Scientific in research in the DPU of Kinetoplastids in the pharmaceutical company GSK, this time in a Drug Discovery project in Chagas disease.
Currently, and also in the private sector, he works at Charles River in the operations and management of animal facilities in public and private research centers.
